The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through a clean.

It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help draw out debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well however, this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will affect how fast the device will move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to keep in mind that it has recurring costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every one to three month.
This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or just want a cleaner home without spending hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to protect specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.
robot hoover Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up pet hair. It was able to collect some of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few nice jingles that indicated when it was beginning or finished its work.
The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't hold multiple maps, which could be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.
On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
